Lesson 4 - Seeing Things 2

Submitted by drew on

In lesson 3 we looked at how neurons in the eye become sensitive to light, to local differences in brightness (luminance contrasts) and wavelength ("colour"). We have seen how these features of the visual world are pre-processed by a network of excitatory and inhibitory synapses in the retina, and sent to the brain via retinal ganglion cell axons.

In week 4 we look at how the brain processes the information supplied to it by the eyes.
